We’re looking for a Finance Controller to join our team in Madrid and help shape the future of contextual advertising as we continue to expand globally.

As the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Providing insightful explanations on a monthly basis for variations between actual financials and different scenarios (previous year, budget, forecast). Leverage your analytical skills to generate actionable insights that drive business performance.
2. Strategic Planning & Coordination: Leading the financial planning process by effectively sharing key financial data and results with various business units and markets, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
3. Risk & Opportunity Management: Identifying potential risks and opportunities ahead of time and proactively managing them to support sound financial decision-making.
4. Cost Control & Budget Compliance: Implementing and overseeing a robust cost control framework, ensuring strict adherence to budgetary constraints. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining financial discipline across all cost areas.
5. Staff Cost & Workforce Planning: Managing and analyzing staff-related costs, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts while optimizing resources to support business growth.
6. Americas Finance Controlling: Bringing expertise in financial operations across the Americas, understanding regional market dynamics, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations to support business expansion and efficiency.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

1. Strong Analytical Expertise: You have a sharp analytical mindset, are detail-oriented, and can translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
2. Precision & Timeliness: You ensure accurate and timely financial information is delivered to relevant stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
3. Value-Driven Analysis: You provide insightful, high-impact analysis that contributes directly to business growth and strategic objectives.
4. Proactive Problem-Solving: You anticipate and address financial challenges before they impact operations, demonstrating a solution-oriented approach.
5. Clear Communication: You excel at conveying financial concepts to non-financial audiences, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.
6. Results & Deadline Focused: You thrive in fast-paced environments, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high-quality output.

It would be a plus if you

1. Have experience in multi-entity or multi-country financial operations, managing complex financial structures across different markets.
2. Are proficient in financial modeling and advanced data analytics, using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL to enhance reporting and forecasting.
3. Have worked with NetSuite ERP or other enterprise financial systems, optimizing automation and reporting capabilities.
4. Possess knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or other international accounting standards, ensuring compliance in a global financial environment.
5. Have led or participated in process improvement and automation initiatives, enhancing efficiency in financial planning and analysis.
6. Bring expertise in cash flow management and working capital optimization, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
