Important marketing agency in a phase of growth and expansion seeks to hire a Financial Controller for its Madrid offices.

What value will you bring to the team? What do we expect from you? Your mission:

1. Establish and develop a reliable reporting system based on group rules, respecting the deadlines set by the Financial Management of the Group.
2. Assist in preparing financial accounts in Spain and Portugal, including accounting for provisions for customers and suppliers.
3. Take responsibility for the company’s analytical accounting, requiring a deep understanding of the business and regular meetings with key business leaders.
4. Perform and review monthly accounting closures.
5. Create monthly closing forecasts and quarterly formal closing reports for the Group.
6. Prepare the company’s annual budget.
7. Manage and supervise the annual audit process with the support of the accountant.
8. Monitor and plan the company’s cash position, coordinating with the Group on funding needs.
9. Collaborate on payments, taxes, and related financial activities as needed.
10. Report key figures monthly to the steering committees for Spain and Portugal.
11. Manage external suppliers, including management firms, consultants, and banks.
12. Ensure financial and analytical accounts accurately reflect the company's status and keep the team informed of financial developments.

About you: Requirements and Skills

1. University degree in ADE, Economics, Accounting, Taxation, or a related postgraduate degree such as an MBA or Financial Management. Accounting knowledge is essential.
2. Minimum of 7 years' experience in control, accounting, or similar roles.
3. Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
4. Analytical mindset with a focus on detailed data analysis to generate business insights.
5. Results-oriented work methodology, capable of meeting deadlines.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
7. Ability to self-learn new tools and platforms to stay updated with market trends.
