This typically involves developing custom services that extend the product's capabilities beyond standard features and creating integrations with various systems used by our customers.

As a Solution Architect, your role is to understand customer needs and craft tailored solutions documented as descriptive, actionable backlogs for developers.

About you: We are a team of geeks and hackers passionate about engineering elegant systems, from Rossum’s CEO to our engineers. You will thrive if:

• This role suits ex-programmers eager to tackle high-level design challenges rather than low-level engineering tasks.
• You love solving puzzles.
• You can relate technical decisions to their business impact.
• You communicate your designs clearly so developers can implement them effectively.
• You ask insightful questions to uncover customer pain points and their root causes.
• You understand good security practices and can identify potential risks to solutions and delivery.
• You know your stakeholders and how to communicate with them effectively.
• You are UX-sensitive, considering end-user impact in your designs.
• You are familiar with the end-to-end development process; experience with JIRA is a plus.
• You are honest, data-driven, and open-minded, valuing good arguments over ego.

Our Tech Stack: Rossum is a highly technical product. Familiarity or experience with the following is a big plus:

• Python
• REST APIs for service integration
• Flask or Django frameworks
• PostgreSQL as our database
• Services deployed in Kubernetes clusters, primarily in AWS (with minimal reliance on AWS-specific features)
