Global Digital Services supports BASF's digital transformation by delivering innovative, high-quality digital products and services through an agile culture. The Digital Hub Madrid is a key location for regional and global solutions.

Within our Product Family Digital Commerce & Advisor, we assist BASF's sales teams in selling more efficiently via digital channels. Our 'Product Information Systems' (PIM) team builds and supports solutions that enable customers to discover and explore our products across various digital channels, providing high-quality standards and customer experience.

About the Job

You will further develop our self-developed PIM system and connected microservices for multiple digital channels. Operating in a global environment, you will collaborate with international teams to design and implement sustainable digital solutions for internal partners. Working closely with product owners and the development team, you will enhance applications in an agile environment.

You will work in an agile, self-organized manner, considering development, operations, and maintenance as integral parts of your daily work. You will drive future development and innovation of the platform, ensuring security, modern coding standards, and user requirements are met.

Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth and secure integration of new services into the PIM landscape and existing backend systems. You will leverage strong interpersonal skills to ensure quality internal customer service and collaborate effectively with a global team using agile methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java
• Preferred experience with Cloud technologies (esp. Azure)
• Ability to support operational strategies, planning, execution, and management
• Experience with Agile methodologies or implementation approaches
• Strong digital mindset to support BASF's digital transformation
• Additional knowledge in Application Support (Level 2/3) and incident management is a plus
