Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Manager to lead the management and optimization of our data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting for a rapidly scaling Payment Orchestration company. Operating for over four years with a growing presence in the USA and European markets, we rely heavily on data-driven decision-making to enhance our services, optimize revenue, and provide value to merchants. The Data Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining data accuracy, security, and accessibility while driving insights that support our growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities :
- Define the long-term vision for how data can be leveraged across the business to drive growth, innovation, and efficiency.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data architectures and platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and implementation optimization.
- Set up a clear, efficient criteria to scale up your team considering tools and personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected from various internal and external sources, including processing data among others.
- Lead the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and statistical models to provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
- Lead and support a team, ensuring optimal results by creating a proactive and systematic monitoring, analysis, and follow-up on merchant data, performance, and operations.
- Stay updated on technological advancements, online payments regulations, and business reporting standards to ensure continuous improvement in data analysis and operational control.
- In partnership with area leadership, recommend and execute best practices to ensure optimal control of the team’s responsibilities.
- Lead your team, acting as team leader and ensuring compliance with objectives and timelines. Anticipate potential complications and make informed decisions based on feedback and team knowledge.
- Promote and embody the team's core values, striving for excellence in communication and technique, improving current processes, and defining new ones to optimize results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience leading teams within data & implementation environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- Previous experience and knowledge within the online payments industry is highly appreciated.
- Ability to utilize and understand multiple data sources to drive expected return and identify trends and actions to mitigate negative KPIs.
- Experience with Business Intelligence software (Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc), statistical & coding packages (SPSS, Python, SQL, SAS, etc), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Well-rounded background balancing technical and business aspects is highly recommended.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; Spanish is a plus.
- Outstanding communication skills, confident at C-level interactions.
- Attention to detail, organizational, analytical skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Experience with integration projects within large global companies, especially in professional services, payments, or technology.
- Proven track record of driving change using data to inform decisions and improve tools and procedures.
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to align business and client needs.
- Deep understanding of file transfer connections (SFTP, webhooks, APIs, etc.) and their application in payment method implementation.
