Water Technologies & Solutions are looking for an Integrated Solutions Engineer to join our Europe Integrated Solutions Team.
There will be a comprehensive training program during the initial phase, with ongoing supervision and mentoring to support the transition into this role.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and developing internal and external client relationships, assessing and estimating equipment requirements and costs, producing project management plans, delivering and executing projects, managing successful installations, developing engineering documents, and commissioning projects.
The role includes:
- Working directly on selected complex and combined projects, typically lasting 4 to 8 months.
- Participating in monthly calls to evaluate project performance in the Iberia region and implementing action plans for deviations.
- Developing general skills and behavior related to the function.
- Managing multiple projects at varying levels of execution.
- Providing training to colleagues and customers on each project.
- Performing assignments requiring trust and accuracy.
- Collaborating with account managers, customers, and prospects to meet equipment needs.
- Assessing technical solutions with the line manager for commercial viability.
- Coordinating support resources to deliver projects within or below budget.
- Participating in customer site visits to design chemical dosing solutions, considering product, pressure, flow requirements, and site restrictions.
- Managing customer satisfaction and escalating concerns to maximize satisfaction.
- Coordinating proposal activity reports.
- Developing and managing engineering documentation.
- Meeting or exceeding activity and result targets.
- Proactively participating in the Integrated Solutions Team, suggesting process improvements.
ITO – Process Requirements
- Review RFQs for technical information.
- Clarify engineering reviews with Chemfeed lead and/or Account Manager.
- Generate scope and review client specifications.
- Produce working drawings and sketches.
- Request third-party installation costs.
- Determine material requirements and request quotes.
- Identify SAP referenced items and list prices.
- Generate cost sheets.
- Submit document packs, including scope, PQ tools, and tender documents.
- Validate order scope, costs, and sell price against offers.
- Obtain updated quotes from suppliers.
- Confirm project payment routes with the line manager if not capital purchases.
- Resolve issues like missing equipment lines or contract discrepancies.
- Produce project costing sheets, ensuring margins are within pre-agreed limits.
- Complete material requisitions for site and subcontractor delivery.
- Send quotes, costing sheets, customer POs, and requisitions to Customer Services.
- Attend site visits or Kick-Off Meetings.
- Clarify delivery dates with Customer Services.
- Produce drawings and obtain approvals.
- Confirm supplier technical details and approvals.
- Develop project plans.
- Manage parts delivery, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning.
- Organize and review RAMS.
- Attend site acceptance tests and produce final documentation.
- Ensure deadlines are met and organize training sessions.
- Ensure timely invoicing.
Qualifications
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree.
- Experience in project management or engineering within water/process treatment, industrial plants, OEM chemical pumps, or instrumentation projects.
- Experience with filtration units such as Reverse Osmosis.
- Based in Spain or Portugal.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the region and occasionally wider.
- EU driving license without restrictions.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software.
- Experience with Google Workspace.
