Technical Product Owner Data (m / f / d)

About the Job

As a Product Owner in the Data domain, you will lead the Scrum team, driving change from concept to delivery. You will prioritize opportunities through a clear backlog, support solution design and validation, review epics and user stories, and ensure alignment with global and local Architecture teams during business validation testing.

What you do

1. Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to understand data requirements and clarify any inconsistencies or conflicting requirements to ensure alignment.
2. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment by gathering information and resolving discrepancies.
3. Prioritize and manage the backlog across different legal entities to meet business goals.
4. Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse Analytics for robust data integration and transformation.
5. Develop and maintain real-time monitoring and alerting systems for data workflows using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to ensure data quality.
6. Identify optimization opportunities in data processing and storage solutions, focusing on performance tuning and cost management in Azure.
7. Stay up-to-date with data engineering trends and manage providers to execute prioritized initiatives while adhering to Allianz's Data Technology Strategy.

What you bring

• Technical Expertise & Cloud Data: Proven experience as a Data Engineer / Architect on Azure or other cloud platforms, with expertise in designing and implementing data solutions, including Azure Synapse and Azure Blob Storage.
• Agile & Strategic Thinking: Experience with Agile methodology and iterative incremental delivery; ability to think creatively and strategically when solving problems.
• Data & Analytics Knowledge: Strong understanding of data analysis principles, data warehousing, data pipelines, SQL, PowerBI, Azure Analysis Services and Azure Machine Learning.
• Cloud Data Storage & Processing: Experience with Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics and Azure Functions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Product Owner, focused on backlog creation, requirements elicitation and driving development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related fields with fluency in English and Spanish.
