Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.
We are looking for a Security Manager, whose responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing functional and contractual documentation, including ground architectural diagrams, requirement lists, and Statements of Work (SoW).
- Analyzing documentation from a cyber-security and information protection perspective, ensuring relevant requirements are met, and contributing to their finalization.
- Analyzing and making trade-offs on security architecture choices, focusing on encryption technologies, Key Management Facilities, key distribution, anti-jamming solutions, procurement, deployment, and pursuing cost- and time-efficient accreditations.
- Supporting the project team in cyber-security and information protection compliance analysis, infrastructure implementation implications, and verification and validation processes.
- Supporting cybersecurity audits and implementing regular security upgrades on the system.
- Collaborating with the project team and external partners to review, analyze, and update security documentation.
- Contributing to the specification and review of operational site implementation plans from a cybersecurity and security protection perspective.
- Participating in institutional contract milestone planning (ESA, EC) and assisting in the preparation and closure of reviews.
- Reporting to the Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering activities or secure encryption, preferably in satellite communication.
- Proven experience working with institutional customers or national governmental institutions, particularly in security risk management, threats, incidents, vulnerabilities, and malware analysis.
- Solid knowledge of security technologies such as encryption, Authentication-Authorization-Accounting, Key Management Facilities, SIEM, and SOAR.
- Familiarity with ISO 27000 standards and ECSS.
- Security engineering experience in programs involving satellite control centers, IT & data centers, 5G systems, OSS/BSS, terrestrial networks.
- Native to an EU member state and willing to undergo an EU secret clearance process.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are advantageous.
