Job Summary

The Corporate IT Matter Subject Expert for Systems is part of the team of engineers focused on Systems-related technologies within the wider Corporate Systems team. The role involves driving the implementation, operation, and improvement of the systems tech stack and practices, including compute, storage, identity, and security, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Collaborates closely with the Technology, Corporate, and Platform teams to align on and drive the Corporate IT compute system. The ultimate goal is to build and operate a reliable, scalable, and secure set of compute capabilities in HBX Group while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate IT Systems team in daily activities, delivering high-quality results and meeting service targets.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Systems Lead and other platform teams to align on the IT roadmap and strategy.
• Lead strategic compute initiatives focusing on on-premises and cloud capabilities, storage, identity, and security, ensuring timely delivery.
• Apply best practices, implement standardized and automated processes, and ensure effective provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of computing services.
• Provide technical support for resolving computing service issues, acting as an escalation point for complex challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and methodologies.
• Participate in a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and fostering learning and innovation.
• Contribute to discussions and decisions regarding the overall corporate IT architecture and strategy.

Skillset and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer or in similar roles.
• Experience in IT Operations or related technology functions.
• Strong technical background.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; Master’s is a plus.
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud systems (IaaS, etc.).
• Experience with AD, Exchange, O365, ADFS, GPO, and SSO systems.
• Knowledge of system security, storage, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with MS platforms (Windows 7/8/10).
• Familiarity with network topologies, TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
• Certifications in IT Operations frameworks and Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
• MS Systems certifications (e.g., AZ104 or similar) are required.
