This position reports to the Manufacturing Unit Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your manufacturing and site services areas, fostering a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. You will support the Ring Motors business by applying your in-depth HSE knowledge, offering solutions and advice, and ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

The work model for this role is onsite. (LinkedIn # to be inserted)

This role is based in the Trapagaran, Spain factory, contributing to the Ring Motors – Process Automation Process Industries division. Key stakeholders include Manufacturing and Site Service Teams, factory management, and global business line management.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Reporting HSE incidents to management and stakeholders, and taking appropriate actions.
2. Facilitating incident investigations to identify risk mitigation strategies.
3. Providing feedback on lessons learned and best practices within the unit and across ABB.
4. Supporting behavioral change through the implementation of performance improvement programs.
5. Managing projects related to environment and sustainability, focusing on circularity and zero waste to landfill.

Qualifications for the role

1. Degree or higher in Engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience.
3. Experience with HSE procedures in manufacturing plants and site activities in international environments.
4. Experience in the mining or energy industries.
5. Proven experience as an HSE technician.
6. Passion for occupational health, safety, and sustainability.
7. Fluency in Spanish and English.
