We are Align Technology / Invisalign, an American multinational company listed on NASDAQ, known for manufacturing medical products and leading in our industry globally. We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong C++ skills and a passion for 3D algorithm development, who loves math and automation.

Department : Research & Development

Location : EMEA-Spain

Description : In this role, you will help design and build critical manufacturing software, involving complex problems requiring innovative thinking. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of relevant experience and is excited to bring new products to market.

• Develop automated CAD / CAM systems for medical device mass production using C++ and Python, with clear code review and unit testing.
• Prototype solutions to assist Biomechanical Engineers in product design for manufacturing.
• Design solutions for 3D Printing, Laser Marking, Laser Trimming, X-Ray Tomography.
• Research current trends and emerging technologies for implementation.
• Translate physical manufacturing testing results into software requirements.
• Collaborate with customers and testing departments to improve products.
• Design and agree on high-level technical architecture with the R&D team.

Estimate efforts for tasks to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications :

• MS in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics
• 6+ years of professional software development experience in C++
• 2+ years in CAD / CAM systems or 3D computational geometry
• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python
• Strong knowledge in numerical mathematics, linear algebra, analytical geometry, statistics
• Knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, bug tracking
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems
• English at B1 level or higher

Desired Skills :

• C++17 experience
• Experience with Computer Tomography, CNC, Robotics Programming
