A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join their Global Asset Engineering and Design Team. The role involves developing equipment specifications, evaluating technical proposals, and ensuring operational requirements are met. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in heavy equipment, particularly within port environments, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. APM Terminals headquarters, Equipment Engineer is part of Global Asset Engineering and Design Team and is responsible for providing input and assistance to deployment of terminal equipment - for new and existing terminals - and translating Operational Requirements into the technical specifications and technical drawings.
Additionally, evaluates the technical proposals and, in collaboration with Procurement, selects suppliers, optimising cost and time while reducing risk.
Accountable to carry out the technical review of the Equipment Design developed by suppliers, electrical and / or mechanical.
We are looking for an equipment engineer with experience on developing equipment specifications, being part of large procurement processes, delivering and commissioning heavy equipment, preferable in a Port or container terminal environments.
