Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Engineer with experience in Hydraulics and Drainage design, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects.

Our clients include both private and public sector entities, with long-term Framework Agreements with Local Authorities and Design and Build projects for major Contractors. Our group has a proven track record in water design projects across the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.

You may have the opportunity to work on iconic Transportation and Water projects, within a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaborate within the H&D team with designers from different EC offices on non-routine, medium-complexity projects.
  • Lead small design teams focused on water-related projects.
  • Conduct complex value engineering evaluations, exploring alternative designs, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Work independently within established procedures, setting work priorities.
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews and interdisciplinary project reviews.
  • Ensure project milestones, technical goals, and budgets are met.
  • Prepare complex project deliverables, supervising and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in H&D design, working with international and multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency with hydraulics and hydrology software such as HEC-RAS/HMS, StormCAD, Infoworks ICM, OpenRoads Designer, 12D, etc.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations (e.g., AASTHO, AWWA, Australian Codes, British Standards).
  • Experience with CAD/BIM/Digital Engineering tools (Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads).
  • Experience working in North America or Australia is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Engineering, or related fields.
