We are building a Talent Development function that is future-focused and driven to define the future of the workplace within a global, growing open source software company, pioneers in remote-first collaboration and employment.
This is an opportunity for a person with outstanding leadership, organization, and intellect, to build our Talent Development team to enhance our leadership and people management practices in our remote setting. We are now 1,200+ colleagues across 75+ countries. We aim to create a new team to focus on Talent Development—to deepen our insights and effectiveness as a remote-first and globally distributed organization.
We know that being effective remotely requires discipline and good habits, and we would like to invest in research to understand that, along with training, policymaking, and selection mechanisms that ensure consistency of behaviors. We want to understand what makes a distributed, remote-first workplace successful. While we've been remote-first for nearly 20 years, we recognize there's still much to learn, and the frontier of possibility continues to expand. We plan to invest in research, analytics, and tooling to elevate remote collaboration, organization, and leadership. Most importantly, we aim to invest in training and multi-directional communications to ensure our leadership team maintains consistent expectations, drives desired behaviors, and embeds effective management practices across the company.
This role is the fourth remaining Lead role in our People function, a cross-disciplinary group of organizational psychologists, engineers, analytics experts, talent scientists, and employee relations specialists. We recruit globally, believing in bringing in outstanding colleagues in a fearless, global manner. Our goal with the Talent Development team is to lead leaders toward clarity on our identity, operations, and evolution over time.
