The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and supplementary miners' insurance, is looking to strengthen its IT team as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs.
- Prepare, monitor, and execute test work during software release changes.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
- Collaborate in working groups, project teams, and the pension insurance competence center.
- Create database queries and searches using SQL.
Qualifications
- Completed technical or university studies in computer science or a related IT field, or equivalent skills and professional experience.
- Experience in developing JEE applications (development environment: Eclipse; build tool: Maven; version management: Git; plugins for Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; JBoss and Websphere Application Server).
- Knowledge of COBOL, XML/JAXB, or C++ is advantageous.
- Knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., Oracle) and SQL.
- Basic PC skills in Windows; knowledge of Linux.
- Willingness to quickly familiarize oneself with new work areas and methods.
- Willingness to undergo an extended security check (SÜ2) per Saarland Security Check Act.
- Independent, goal-oriented work style.
- Ability to develop solutions independently and work well in teams.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- High levels of commitment, reliability, resilience, communication, organizational skills, initiative, and sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to perform remote maintenance outside normal hours and at weekends if necessary.
