A leading company in global mobility services is seeking an Employment Tax Associate. This hybrid role involves acting as the first point of contact for Employment Tax inquiries, ensuring compliance, and guiding clients through complex tax issues. The ideal candidate is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of experience and strong knowledge of personal income tax.

Formación

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Expertise in expatriate tax is an advantage.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current developments in taxation.

Position : Employment Tax Associate

Your main duties will include acting as the first point of contact for inquiries related to Employment Tax, and as you evolve into a Subject Matter Expert, working closely with clients to guide them through complex employment tax issues. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying opportunities for tax savings and operational improvements, and aligning Employment Tax practices with broader business strategies and objectives.

  • Conducting tax briefings.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax computations, including withholding tax and advance tax.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and filing individual tax returns.
  • Assisting in advisory projects, including technical research, drafting memos, and presentations.
  • Supporting tax assessments, including preparing submissions for tax authorities and assisting in representations.
  • Coordinating with tax authorities, including visiting tax offices for follow-ups, rectifications, and refunds.

Qualifications :

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of personal income tax; expertise in expatriate tax is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with tax procedures related to employment obligations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current developments in taxation and their impact on individual tax obligations.
  • Demonstrated innovative and critical thinking in managing projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and report writing skills.
