purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure Radisson’s SAP environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient and vendor-agnostic, focusing on performance and availability. A key component of this role is to review and improve changes which are to be implemented in the production environment, with a particular focus on ensuring that custom ABAP code is as optimal as possible and will either not negatively impact production performance and availability, but ideally significantly improve it.

The SAP Basis Specialist will work side by side with the SAP Operations Manager, the Sr. Director of Information Technology, and the Sr. Director for SAP and Service Management, focusing on continuous improvement of the whole SAP landscape, including non-SAP applications if applicable.

Ensure top-notch performance for all SAP systems in the landscape by proactively identifying areas of improvement. Expand current SAP solutions for scale, resiliency, and maintainability by leveraging cloud functionality. Architect new SAP Cloud solutions and integrate them with existing on-premise and cloud systems.

Work on the cutting edge of a wide range of innovative use cases, in collaboration with setting up and configuring SAP based on best practices. Automate SAP deployment, configuration, and operations. Work closely with engineering teams and program management to execute RHG 5YP strategy planning in accordance with SAP migrations and Cloud improvement matters.

Ensure the project is delivered as per the terms in the contract: quality, schedule, and cost. Proactively monitor and control system performance by ensuring resources are correctly assigned and utilized. Identify trends in day-to-day operations and actively work on solving issues before they become problems.

Ensure a high degree of collaboration and good team spirit across all parties during the project. Must be able to interact at Director, Senior Director, and VP levels.

Accountabilities include smooth operation, continuous innovation, and transformation of Radisson’s SAP Cloud environments.

Job requirements and qualifications :

Location : Madrid

Fluency in English is a must

Must have experience

• 10 years SAP Basis proven experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working internationally.
• SAP performance management, diagnosis, and troubleshooting on application and DB layers.
• SAP Security Concepts, authorizations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP S4 / HANA.
• Excellent SAP BASIS, SAP Technical Architect, business development, infrastructure, and cloud experience.
• Experience and deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver Administration.
• Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.
• Highly technical and analytical, possessing 5+ years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in enterprise customer or partner environments.

Highly desirable experience includes Fiori troubleshooting and optimization, broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack, SAP PO, SAP ASE databases, SAP BTP / CPI, management basis knowledge, and previous experience with Cloud and architecting SAP solutions on Cloud. Hands-on experience with scripting and/or software such as Python, Ruby, etc. Hospitality experience is also a plus.

Travel up to 20%, primarily to Brussels HQ.

Good team player, willing to assist others and share expertise. Highly influential with leadership and communication skills at least at the director level, sociability, and efficiency.

University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. A recognized project management qualification is preferable.
