The Role

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced web developer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will create engineering platforms by developing Internal Developer Portals and self-service models of platform capabilities via APIs and integrations. The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a strong background in TypeScript, Node.js, and React, capable of developing and maintaining solutions independently or collaboratively. Experience building IDPs using solutions like Backstage, Port, Cortex, or custom solutions is highly desirable.

Practice Overview :

Our Platform Engineering service line delivers scalable, innovative cloud solutions that accelerate digital product delivery and enhance client technology ecosystems. Platform Engineering involves developing and integrating components such as infrastructure as code, service catalogs, and DevOps practices to create effective IDPs.

Responsibilities :

1. Design and develop Internal Developer Portals for internal projects or clients.
2. Contribute to architecture design and optimize performance of IDPs.
3. Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to refine user interfaces and improve user experience.
4. Ensure high-quality code through testing and code reviews.
5. Maintain and update existing codebases for new features and improvements.
6. Assist in building and managing cloud-native architectures using containers (Docker / Kubernetes), serverless solutions, or other cloud-native services.

Assist in designing CI / CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Tekton, Jenkins) to improve time-to-market and developer experience.

Who You Are

Qualifications :

1. Fluent in English and Spanish.
2. Knowledge of development tools and technologies such as Git, RESTful APIs, and content management systems.
3. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing, and deployment techniques.
4. Experience with frontend platform services like Cloudflare Pages, Vercel, Akamai, CloudFront is a plus.
5. Familiarity with server-side development in Java, PHP, Python, or Go is a plus.
6. Ability to work independently and within an engineering team.
7. Basic hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
8. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, containerized applications, and CI / CD practices.

Nice to Have :

1. Relevant certifications or ongoing certification pursuits.
2. Interest in observability, security practices, and advanced platform engineering methodologies.
