Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer!

He/she will:

• Provide technical guidance to other team members
• Collaborate on developing Data Platform features using Python and AWS serverless services
• Build, test, and maintain back-end components, including security and APIs, following software engineering best practices
• Strive for reusability, good code quality, and adherence to software engineering standards
• Contribute to technical and architectural decision-making
• Support the release process
• Ensure quality through testing and documentation
• Support our operations team when needed

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of AWS services (API Gateway, S3, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, Lake Formation, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of Big Data, Analytics, and/or DevOps
• Proficiency with Python
• Experience with development frameworks such as Flask, Django, FastAPI is preferred
• Good command and experience with Docker
• Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation)
• Proficiency with Git/Gitflow
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and serverless architecture
• Good understanding of agile software development
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; proficiency in English
