DESCRIPTION:

- This role can be based in Madrid (ES), Milan (IT), or Paris (FR).

Do you want to help us build the future of Amazon's EU Stores business in the Consumables division? Are you interested in working in a high-impact role with exposure to senior leaders? The EU Pets team is seeking a Senior Vendor Manager (SVM) to develop categories and vendor relationships across the EU.

To succeed, you should have strong analytical, relationship management, and organizational skills. Comfort with new technologies, expertise in analytics, problem-solving abilities, and quick learning are essential. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships are also required.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Act as the business owner for your category, understanding internal and external factors affecting your business (forecasting, monitoring, reporting), and driving projects and promotions to meet objectives.
  2. Manage key vendor relationships, including contracts, daily interactions, negotiations, and securing funding.
  3. Stay informed about industry trends, seasonality, and competitor activities.
  4. Identify opportunities for product selection expansion and collaborate with partners to onboard new brands.
  5. Understand customer needs to advocate for and enhance the shopping experience.
  6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to meet deadlines.
  7. Conduct financial analyses to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  8. Seek automation and simplification of manual processes.
A day in the life
  • Deep analytics on financial and business performance.
  • Engage with vendor partners to grow their business with Amazon.
  • Collaborate on customer growth projects.
  • Lead negotiations.
  • Partner with AVS-Brand Specialists to manage vendor relationships and achieve Vendor Growth Plan targets.
About the team

EU Pets North Star aims to become the preferred destination for Pets Parents and a trusted multi-specialist partner for vendors and sellers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluency in Spanish, Italian, or French to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Background in account management, project/program management, or buying.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Experience in cross-team collaboration.
  • Business analysis and P&L management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  • A passion for online retailing and enthusiasm to learn about new areas.
