Job Description: Portfolio Manager at Social Discovery Ventures

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is a global technology company specializing in apps at the intersection of dating, social, and entertainment. Our portfolio includes 70 social discovery platforms focusing on AI, game mechanics, and video streaming. We also support and invest in social discovery startups worldwide through our CVC fund.

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join Social Discovery Ventures (SDV), a global investment management firm with investments in 27 Venture Capital and 5 private equity funds, including NEA, Khosla Ventures, and DCM.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage investments across VC and PE fund portfolios.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with portfolio funds and investigate arising issues.
• Oversee new fund investments, including due diligence and deal-closing processes.
• Present potential deals to the Investment Committee.
• Monitor and report on the quarterly performance of VC/PE funds.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in VC or PE funds.
• Understanding of VC fund structures.
• Strong market research and sizing skills.
• Analytical thinking capabilities.
• Experience in deal negotiation.
