We at Wipro are urgently looking for an IP / MPLS SDN Consultant.

You will be part of an IP SDN Designer team working within a Tier-1 Telco Operator responsible for defining, designing, developing, and implementing Automation Use Cases (UCs) for Telco & Networking domains.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with Network & OSS Design, Planning, and Engineering teams to define, design, test, and implement UCs, validate solutions in Lab, and deploy in production.
• Require strong Software development skills (Python) and deep Telco & Network technical background on IP / MPLS Services and Protocols.
• Design, customize, and test SDN architecture for Transport Networks (IP / MPLS routers) and their integration with OSS APIs.
• Define, design, and evaluate SDN management interfaces (YANG models) for current Transport Network Management use cases, including North Bound Interfaces (NBI) and South Bound Interfaces (SBI) with vendor models.
• Design, build, implement, and deploy UCs for automating the lifecycle of IP / MPLS services in a Tier-1 Telco network.
• Contribute to automation initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams.
• Develop and review code quality, test plans, and artifacts for SDN Use Cases.

Skills and Experience :

• Deep knowledge of SDN and NFV architectures.
• Minimum 3+ years of proven software development experience for Telecom & Networking applications, focusing on automating service lifecycle in Transport Network technologies like IP / MPLS.
• At least 3+ years of experience with IP / MPLS networks.
• Good understanding of IP / MPLS and L2 / L3 technologies such as OSPF, BGP-LS, Traffic Engineering, PCE, OpenFlow; certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or NRS-I / II are a plus.
• Strong or intermediate Python development and scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Cisco NSO, Nokia NSP.
• Knowledge of SDN, IP / MPLS architectures and technologies.
• Experience with pair programming, TDD, Shift-Left, BDD, CI / CD, DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with main network vendors (Nokia, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, ZTE, etc.).
• Knowledge of other Telco & Network technologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OSS tools and NBI / SBI interfaces is beneficial.
• Experience with virtualization environments (KVM, VMware, OpenStack) is a plus.
• Previous engagement with standardization bodies like IETF and TIP MUST be a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as a technical point of contact with customers and vendors.
• Ability to lead a technical team in SDN Use Case deployment from lab to live networks.
• Team player, able to integrate into customer teams.
• English and Spanish language skills are mandatory.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, or related field).
• Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python.
• Understanding of networking concepts (certifications like CCNA, CCNP are desirable).
• Strong communication skills, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (German or Portuguese are also acceptable).
