TPI Composites is the leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are looking for a motivated Special Warranty Project Manager to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Problem-Solving Manager.

Key Objectives

The new Global CIM Department oversees TPI Composite blade products' integrity at customer sites (wind farms) within the warranty period. As our new Special Warranty Project Manager, you are an excellent self-motivated communicator and stakeholder manager. You are a recognized strong project manager capable of leading complex, large-scale projects in a rapidly changing environment and exceeding external customer expectations despite high pressure. You possess sufficient knowledge of wind blade technologies, production processes, and wind farm operations to guide the project team effectively and deliver high project results.

Main Responsibilities :

  1. Take over from the Warranty Technical Leaders the planning and execution of large complex warranty project activities, especially where cross-functional resource coordination and information flow exceed the Technical Leader's bandwidth (e.g., large blade risk mitigation campaigns with regular customer, supplier, and internal coordination, or complex implementation of preventive measures across factories and products).
  2. Act as an operational/execution partner to the Technical Leader in large or special projects to enhance efficiency in warranty problem-solving and risk control, thereby increasing customer satisfaction.
  3. Serve as a strong internal coordinator for resource-intensive and cross-functional activities and manage stakeholder communication (both internal and external).
  4. Monitor the progress of a portfolio of projects, ensuring actions are completed timely and with quality, and escalate risks such as resource shortages or new technical challenges.
  5. Collaborate with Warranty Technical Leads and Technical Support teams to ensure work package quality through technical checks and sign-offs.
  6. Work with Field Service Project Managers to prepare large field campaigns, providing clear and documented work packages and monitoring progress to report to customers.
  7. Familiarize yourself with internal CWM processes and initiate improvements based on lessons learned from large project executions.
  8. Coordinate with the Warranty Lean System engineer to continuously improve systems and tools supporting large project execution in a leaner manner.
  9. Escalate complex customer communication or strategic issues to the Customer Warranty Relations Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Degree in Engineering required; MSc, MBA, or PhD preferred.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience managing complex projects in a cross-cultural, fast-changing environment, with at least 5 years in wind blade composites.
  3. Project management experience with PMP certification.
  4. Proficiency in computer skills and excellent presentation capabilities.
  5. Strong quality orientation and high attention to detail.
  6. Experience working with vendors, customers, and employees.
  7. Track record of working with high-performance teams.
  8. Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  9. Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Personality & Leadership :

  1. Flexible, pragmatic, open, positive, with a “can-do” attitude.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  4. Self-motivated, proactive, solutions-driven change agent.
  5. Ability to work in a matrix environment.
  6. Able and willing to travel internationally about 20% of the time.

Location :

  1. Presential candidates considered only from Mexico, Turkey, India, Denmark, Germany.
  2. Remote candidates considered only from Denmark, Germany, Spain, UK, USA, Mexico.
