Job Description for Senior Anaplan Consultant

Currently, our team of over 160 crew members from 14 different nationalities is expanding, and we are looking for a new team member to join us.

About our partner

On behalf of our partner C&A, a multinational retail clothing brand with stores across Europe, we are seeking top talent for their e-commerce division, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. You will work in a distributed team from our office.

What you'll be doing

After a thorough selection process, Anaplan's planning software was chosen for financial planning. Following a successful MVP, Anaplan is now being rolled out for all planning scenarios in finance and business navigation. This project involves collaboration with Anaplan, an external service provider, and internal teams to maintain and develop the software independently in the future. The team currently includes an Anaplan Model Builder, a Product Manager, and an Integration Specialist. We are seeking a Senior Anaplan Consultant to complete this team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development efforts, collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and stakeholders.
• Bring deep Anaplan expertise into the team, train, and enable new resources.
• Support the implementation project alongside external partners.
• Define solution designs, best practices, scope, and effort estimates for new models.
• Own configuration and maintenance of models and the Data Hub, and manage the data dictionary.
• Create and manage data models, calculations, and business logic.
• Develop and optimize planning processes and scenarios.
• Integrate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy.
• Test and validate models to meet business requirements.

Key Relationships

Internal collaboration with IT and business teams, external service providers, and direct contact with Anaplan.

What you'll bring

• Extensive experience as an Anaplan Model Builder or Consultant, preferably in finance within the retail industry.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of business processes and data flow.
• Ability to understand complex problems and design effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, team-oriented, proactive, and open to agile methodologies.
• Degree in informatics, economics, or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years of experience with Anaplan.
• Experience in project work and support, with project management skills.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
