Global Cybersecurity Manager | Head of Security Architecture and Engineering

Location: Madrid (Hybrid) | Spain (Remote) | International Team

ABOUT THE ROLE

At LHH, we are seeking a Head of Security Architecture and Engineering for our client, a leading company with a strong global presence.

This strategic role involves leading a team of cybersecurity architects and specialists, ensuring security by design in technology projects, and aligning with the company's security strategy and risk profile.

The position requires managing a distributed team, fostering international collaboration, and implementing robust security controls.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture and risk management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Management

• Participate in management discussions on security technologies and controls.
• Lead and motivate cybersecurity architects and engineers across multiple locations.
• Ensure team alignment with company goals, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards.
• Foster collaboration and support professional development.
• Sponsor strategic initiatives to enhance security posture, leading projects from planning to execution.

Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering

• Provide strategic guidance on security design decisions.
• Develop and maintain security frameworks aligned with industry best practices and business needs.
• Manage the roadmap for security controls in areas such as Application Security, Identity and Access Management, Ransomware Resilience, and Zero Trust.
• Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve security and operational efficiency.

Global Coordination

• Collaborate with teams in Europe and other regions to ensure effective communication and cohesion.
• Work with various departments to implement global security strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure security architecture compliance with local regulations and company policies.
• Lead risk management forums to identify and mitigate security threats to key assets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams in multinational environments, with deep expertise in security architecture, engineering, and risk management. Ability to coordinate geographically dispersed teams and engage stakeholders. Fluency in English (C1 level required); Spanish is a plus. Availability for on-call duties and occasional international travel.
