The FPIICIQ 2024 Call aims to support exceptional graduate students worldwide in enrolling in a training and research program in chemistry, leading to a Doctoral Thesis in partnership with the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV). The thesis will be linked to a research project funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia Innovación y Universidades, the Agencia Estatal de Investigación, and the Fondo Social Europeo (FSE), under Call 2023 of Proyectos de Generación del Conocimiento (PID 2023).

Selected PhD students will have opportunities to develop their careers in academia and industry through:

1. The execution of an individual research project under the guidance of an internationally renowned Group Leader in a stimulating scientific environment.
2. A comprehensive training program covering technical skills and soft skills, including seminars, hands-on training with state-of-the-art instrumentation, IP management, entrepreneurship, research integrity, knowledge and technology transfer, grant writing, project management, communication, and career development. ICIQ offers an annual personalized training program called SHARP, lasting two weeks, tailored to the PhD student's year.
3. Opportunities for short research stays at distinguished international institutions.

The program targets highly qualified, motivated, and talented graduate students interested in research in Chemistry or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent academic record, strong commitment to research, and proficiency in English.

Selection is competitive, transparent, and based on principles of fairness. Only one application per person will be considered; multiple submissions will be disregarded after the first.
