The Data & Performance (D&P) organization drives the Company’s agenda to deliver Trust Data @ Scale. It owns the company’s data security strategy and initiatives to ensure proper data guardrails are in place. We are seeking an experienced Data Security Lead with an innovative, agile, and pragmatic mindset to secure data flows, architecture, bolster regulatory compliance, and future-proof our Data Strategy against existing and emerging threats.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Data Risk management activities focusing on Data security and protection, governing policies, controls, standards, and performance measurement.
  2. Manage key Data Risk & Security Portfolio initiatives, such as Data Classification Operationalisation, Secure Data Sharing, Data Discovery, or Urban IntelDS security.
  3. Support Data Security governance topics like Crown Jewels, critical systems/assets protection, critical supplier interactions, and data systems resilience (e.g., BCP).
  4. Engage with Data Officers & Data Domains regarding Data Risk & Security, providing guidance and mentorship.
  5. Promote innovation and knowledge exchange on data security & risk best practices, education, and awareness initiatives.
  6. Use data and learnings from past incidents to drive auto-discovery capabilities.
  7. Manage data/security incidents ensuring cohesive responses.
  8. Provide dashboards for management visibility of data risks.
  9. Manage ISO compliance efforts.
  10. Design security initiatives to future-proof data supply chain security based on incidents and red team exercises.
  11. Collaborate internally and externally to achieve team objectives.
  12. Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs.
  13. Ensure Business Data Offices’ continuous compliance with security, legal, and data privacy policies and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience in cybersecurity governance, operations, or security architecture design authority.
  • Knowledge of Big Data / BI / Analytics security, including SQL security and application platform hardening.
  • Experience with data security (DLP, DSPM) and access rights management, including IAM.
  • Risk assessment & management skills, audit capabilities, and certifications.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS), data pipelines, and SQL (RedShift preferred).
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Soft skills: customer focus, innovation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, empathy, and understanding of company strategy.
