Senior Software Developer (IC3) – Oracle Life Sciences

Location : Spain (remote)

We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer with expertise in distributed systems and cloud services to join Oracle Health / Life Sciences. The role involves developing services critical to supporting market viability assessments of new treatments, bringing treatments to market, and ensuring patient safety globally.

As a Senior Development Engineer, your responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining applications and services ranging from big data technologies and distributed computing to efficient data planes, aimed at advancing patient care. You will work on broad and deep software system engineering challenges, owning the development of new components from conception to deployment, impacting millions of patients worldwide.

Responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and design multiple products
• Document design specifications
• Implement and review high-quality code
• Develop test automation for your code
• Participate in deploying code to production
• Operate and maintain developed services

Qualifications :

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in complex software systems development
• Proven experience with Java, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
• Knowledge of data structures and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful Web Services and cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with large-scale data systems like Data Lakes and Relational Databases
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with scalable systems is advantageous
• Healthcare or medical data experience is a plus
