We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate software engineer to join the Global Feature Store team at Glovo.

The Feature Store is a key component of Delivery Hero’s Machine Learning stack, enabling Data Scientists to access model features efficiently during training and serving, while reducing duplication of feature engineering efforts across teams. It also supports backend use cases requiring low latency data access from our Data Lake, facilitating faster development and feature reusability across the organization.

Our team manages and operates the Global Feature Store not only for Glovo but also for other brands within Delivery Hero. Your solutions will be utilized across various use cases such as logistics, fraud detection, and ranking, in all markets where Delivery Hero and Glovo operate.

THE JOURNEY

Design and implement scalable, robust, and innovative solutions for one of Delivery Hero’s busiest, data-intensive services, shaping the future of high-traffic platforms.

Contribute to our product development roadmap and lead high-impact projects.

Maintain our tier-1 system to ensure smooth business operations.

Develop software using modern engineering approaches and agile principles.

Scale our technology and team as the business grows.

Own your deliverables from start to finish, delivering high-quality solutions.

What you need to be successful

• A degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving performance issues in complex software systems.
• Strong interest and experience in data-intensive application development.
• Familiarity with the Machine Learning lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar high-level languages.
• Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
• Knowledge of relational databases and other data management approaches.
• Understanding of concurrency and Event-Driven Development.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A strong interest in areas outside of coding such as architecture, algorithms, optimization, automation, scalability, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have :

• Experience in fast-growing tech companies and scaleups.
• Proficiency in software architectures and performance optimization techniques.
• Previous experience in data engineering, data science, or streaming analytics.
