Job Summary

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team, working within our agile teams focusing on design, impact analysis, and outcomes of our solutions. Our Solution Architects interface heavily with our Enterprise Architects to protect outcomes and estimates, and to contribute to the overall strategy, standards, and guidelines. They also generate technical interest and awareness about the latest developments and their applicability within their domain.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure technological performance by design, right-sizing, scalability, and reliability.
2. Ensure architectural standards and best practices are followed.
3. Define the scope and non-functional requirements.
4. Analyze technical trade-offs and contribute to the Definition of Done at the technical level.
5. Guard the security and performance of services.
6. Support the team during significant technological changes.
7. Contribute to reference architectures and standards.
8. Detect weaknesses and failure points within solutions and propose improvements.
9. Reduce technical debt and support technological evolution.
10. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
11. Define technical and functional monitoring strategies.
12. Negotiate with product leads on prioritization of initiatives for technological evolution.
13. Advocate for new technological features.

Required Skills

1. 3+ years of experience in software or platform design and E2E architecture solutions.
2. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
3. Experience designing architectures with various databases, cache types, and messaging technologies.
4. Experience with frontend technologies like Django and React.
5. Experience with backend technologies such as Python and/or Java.
6. Experience working in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
7. Knowledge of designing high-performing systems.
8. Understanding of continuous delivery processes and tools.
9. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
10. Leadership qualities and strong problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities.
12. Team-oriented with an agile mindset.
13. Willingness to learn and adapt.

Nice to Have

1. Experience in the travel industry.
2. Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or SAFe.
