Job Summary :

The Secret Society is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales strategy and drive revenue growth while overseeing critical business operations. This role is focused 80% on sales-related initiatives, including client acquisition, partnerships, and market penetration strategies, with 20% dedicated to optimizing operational processes to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales and Business Development

  • Sales Strategy and Planning : Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets, identifying new market opportunities and partnerships.
  • Client Acquisition : Drive and oversee the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing sales to bring new clients on board.
  • Partnership Management : Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key partners, influencers, and industry stakeholders to enhance The Secret Society’s market presence.
  • Team Leadership : Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting individual and group performance targets while providing coaching and support.
  • Market Analysis : Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, using this knowledge to refine sales strategies and service offerings.
  • Sales Reporting : Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics, developing strategies to address performance gaps and opportunities for growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) : Leverage CRM systems to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts to ensure data-driven decision-making.

Operational Oversight

  • Process Improvement : Collaborate with operational and executive teams to streamline workflows, enhance service delivery, and support business growth initiatives.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, finance, and other departments to align sales goals with overall business objectives and operational efficiencies.
  • Resource Allocation : Ensure optimal allocation of resources and support to sales and business development activities to maximize effectiveness and client satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably in a leadership capacity within a dynamic industry.
  • Sales Expertise : Proven track record of driving sales growth, meeting or exceeding targets, and developing successful business development strategies.
  • Leadership Skills : Experience in building, leading, and inspiring high-performing sales teams.
  • Analytical Ability : Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to develop effective strategies.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Operational Mindset : Experience in improving business processes to support sales operations and company goals.
  • CRM and Tech Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM tools, data analytics platforms, and digital sales strategies.
