Vicomtech Job Opportunity: IT Specialist

Vicomtech is a private Applied Research Centre specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing, and Interaction, located in Donostia-San Sebastian and Bilbao. We have a strong national presence and are members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and GraphicsVision.ai, an international network focused on Computer Graphics.

We are seeking two individuals with IT knowledge and experience to join our teams at our Bilbao and Donostia headquarters. If you have experience in systems and networks, you could be the right fit for us.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and supervision of computer equipment.
• Installation and deployment of software and applications.
• Ensuring network, computer, and server security.
• User administration.
• Supporting process automation and environment deployment using DevOps tools and Docker containers.
• Managing and maintaining virtualization platforms.

Candidate Requirements:

• Advanced Vocational Training in Computer Science or Telecommunications.
• Knowledge of WAN, LAN, VPN networks, Linux server administration, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Programming skills.
• Experience with On-Premise and Cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with DevOps environments, CI/CD processes.
• Experience with Docker containers and image management.
• Knowledge of virtualization clusters.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluency in Basque and English is a plus.
