A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an HSE Manager to oversee occupational safety and environmental compliance at their Madrid site. The role involves risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and leading sustainability projects. Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering and over 5 years of experience in Occupational Risk Prevention.

Mission

Expert / Advisor for the Site in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and the Environment, responsible for assessing occupational and environmental risks at the Madrid Site (processes, workstations, equipment) to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies, standards, and corporate guidelines.

HSE Manager - Functions and Responsibilities

  2. Conduct risk assessments of the work environment.
  3. Propose measures to control and reduce risks.
  4. Educate operators about risks and prevention measures.
  5. Monitor compliance with occupational risk prevention programs.
  6. Participate in planning preventive activities.
  7. Lead in emergency situations.
  8. Ensure safe behaviors and proper use of protective equipment.
  9. Encourage worker cooperation in preventive measures.
  10. Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper signage.
  11. Inspect and evaluate risks, address complaints, and record data.
  12. Obtain and maintain ISO 45001 Certification.
  13. Plan and coordinate audits for system and process improvements.
  14. Analyze and implement sustainability projects, including supply chain monitoring and environmental regulation compliance.
  15. Obtain and maintain ISO 14001 Certification.
  16. Lead audits to improve sustainability efforts and promote environmental responsibility.

Profile

  • Degree in Engineering (industrial, chemical, environmental) with specialization in Occupational Risk Prevention and training in Sustainability or similar.
  • Over 5 years of experience in industrial Occupational Risk Prevention; experience with Management Systems (MA) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and conversational fluency.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Responsible, organized, methodical, with strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
