Job Description:
As the Country Manager for Iberia, you will play a pivotal role in leading the operations and driving business growth in the region. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our business in Spain and Portugal, overseeing a talented team and spearheading the development of new projects and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision and business plan for the Iberian region, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including project development, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, to expand the company presence and market share in Iberia.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, investors, and local communities.
Project Management: Oversee the development, construction, and operation of PV assets in the region, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Financial Performance: Drive financial performance and profitability, managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements effectively.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and challenges associated with project development, regulatory compliance, market dynamics, and other factors.
Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to the Board.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (15+ years) in the renewable energy sector in SPAIN, with a focus on solar PV projects and business development.
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of the regulatory, economic, and market landscape in the Iberian region, with a network of contacts and relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese or French would be a plus.
