DESCRIPTION

Do you want to join a fast-paced Global Procurement Organization team focused on Amazon Operations? By joining the Site Procurement Operations Team, you have the opportunity to lead and deliver strategic procurement projects for our internal Business Partners at local, regional, national, and European levels. As a Site Procurement Manager, you will work in a team environment with internal Amazon stakeholders, diverse procurement peers, and external vendors to procure value-adding solutions for the business. You will join a cross-functional team within one of our logistics sites, acting as a strategic business partner, driving continuous improvement, innovation, risk prevention, and sustainability through your procurement initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Understand business needs: Analyze and justify requirements, manage complex projects with high spend, risks, confidentiality, and time constraints across multiple sites.
  2. Build stakeholder relationships: Ensure high service levels through scope analysis, vendor negotiations on costs, lead times, and other key elements for projects at various levels.
  3. Utilize applications and systems: Use tools like Coupa and Quicksight for metrics, reporting, and data analysis, including supplier performance metrics.
  4. Lead procurement processes: Manage the entire procurement cycle from needs detection to contracting and follow-up, including sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, and risk assessment.
  5. Create and execute contracts: Manage contractual agreements such as Work Orders and Master Supply Agreements, ensuring compliance using CLM.
  6. Support procurement projects: Lead EU-wide initiatives like tenders, cost optimization, and sustainability projects in collaboration with global procurement teams and finance.
  7. Manage supplier performance: Ensure high service levels, lead reviews, and oversee invoicing and payments, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  8. Act as SME: Identify savings opportunities, perform spend analysis, and support strategic category management, including operational savings and long-term contracts.
  9. Embed sustainability: Collaborate with stakeholders to meet sustainability goals, reduce waste, and ensure CSR compliance.
  10. Meet KPIs: Achieve targets related to savings, financial metrics, sustainability, and compliance.
  11. Ensure compliance: Promote adherence to procurement policies, educate stakeholders, and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Extend SME responsibilities: Act as a category SME at the country or EU level.
  13. Provide training: Train other buyers on functional skills.
About the team

Our operations are central to the Amazon customer experience, involving fulfillment centers, delivery stations, and a large workforce across Europe. The Site Procurement Operations team collaborates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support complex on-site projects, ensuring procurement solutions align with operational needs and company standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or significant procurement experience
  • Relevant procurement experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in sourcing, contract management, or similar roles
  • Negotiation skills
  • Contract management skills
  • Fluent in English and local language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree focused on Procurement or Supply Chain
  • Experience in a large, global, matrixed organization
  • CIPS/EIPM accreditation or equivalent
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Coupa
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated and customer-centric
  • Experience in Supplier Relationship Management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
