Ground segment deputy project manager Project Management MADRID, Spain

We are looking for a GROUND SEGMENT DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER to join our growing business in Madrid, Spain.

You will be part of an excellent, industry-leading team in our ground system division for the aerospace, defence, and telecommunications sectors.

In this exciting role, you will collaborate closely with the project manager to plan, organise, and manage project activities to ensure success, contributing to the development and maintenance of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. You will also assist in creating work breakdown structures and assigning tasks to team members.

Additionally, you will identify project risks and help develop risk mitigation strategies, monitoring and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle, escalating to the project manager as needed. Working with the project manager, you will define and implement quality control measures, ensuring project deliverables meet the required quality standards.

The role also involves assisting in monitoring project progress and generating reports on project status, budget, and key performance indicators, as well as helping to maintain project documentation including project plans, meeting minutes, and project artifacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Between two and three years of experience in project management
• Experience in ESA projects and working in multidisciplinary work teams is a big plus
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially with customers and subcontractors
• Ability to work independently with confidence and precision
