What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions.
• Lead prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and collaborate with Global Technology Shared Services to implement solutions.
• Understand approaches for building self-service and corporate BI solutions, including data sources and ETL methods.
• Improve reporting efficiency, develop sharing practices, and train Power BI report designers and consumers.
• Act as a Power BI evangelist, stay updated on technology trends, and advise on Power Platform use cases.
• Contribute to the Power Platform center of excellence, establishing governance and assessing adoption and satisfaction.
• Be a collaborative change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving.

What UST expects from you?

• Expertise in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design.
• 10+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large data volumes.
• Understanding of enterprise big data architectures.
• Experience with reporting and analytics solutions like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, SSAS.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory.
• Experience with Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Power BI.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT).
• Knowledge of data security models.
• Good command of English (C1), working with international teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience establishing reporting governance frameworks and promoting adoption.
• Familiarity with SAFe practices.
• Experience with data interfaces such as APIs, Snowflake, databases, file formats.
• Understanding of Data Quality approaches like shift left.
