Phoenix Security is a cybersecurity start-up working on an exciting new product and seeking a founding Frontend Engineer to join our team. You will develop our innovative platform, which is disrupting vulnerability management, application security, and cloud security sectors. Job Brief

We seek a Frontend Developer with UI/UX design experience to transform our web application into user-friendly products for our clients. Knowledge of user experience design is essential.

You will collaborate with designers and developers to implement functional and UX/UI enhancements, creating features that meet client needs and support our growth.

This role is remote, with a future transition to hybrid work, based in Barcelona or Malaga, Spain, and requires professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS cloud services is a plus

Responsibilities

1. Work independently on defined requirements and stories
2. Collaborate to improve implementation efficiency
3. Propose technical and functional alternatives
4. Present drafts to stakeholders
5. Identify and troubleshoot UX issues (e.g., responsiveness)
6. Adjust layouts based on user feedback
7. Follow style standards for fonts, colors, and images

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills for client-facing and internal interactions
• Approachable personality
• Proven experience as a frontend web developer with a portfolio
• Knowledge of web design principles
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Github Projects

Location

Currently residing in or willing to relocate within commuting distance to Barcelona or Malaga.
