Greenvolt is seeking a skilled Trading Analyst responsible for securing the route-to-market in the various markets where Greenvolt operates. The role involves developing and executing strategies to integrate renewable energy projects successfully into these markets. Key responsibilities include navigating regulatory frameworks, building partnerships with stakeholders such as grid operators and market agents, and ensuring compliance with market participation requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies for integrating renewable energy projects into electricity markets, optimizing operational efficiency and profitability.
2. Analyze market structures, regulatory frameworks, and pricing mechanisms to identify the best market access options (e.g., PPAs, merchant models, energy auctions).
3. Contracting and Market Participation:
4. Secure participation of renewable assets in spot markets (day-ahead, intraday, aFRR, mFRR, etc.).
5. Negotiate and manage short-term contracts, derivatives, PPAs, and grid interconnection agreements, ensuring favorable terms.
6. Facilitate project registration with TSOs, DNOs, market operators, and relevant authorities.
7. Ensure compliance with market rules, including renewable energy certification, grid codes, and ancillary services participation.
8. Revenue Optimization:
9. Monitor and optimize revenue streams through participation in energy and capacity markets.
10. Develop strategies for managing imbalance risks and maximizing returns from renewable energy generation.
11. Data Analysis and Reporting:
12. Analyze energy market trends, pricing forecasts, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.
13. Prepare reports on market performance, revenue, and compliance metrics for stakeholders.
14. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
15. Collaborate with project development, engineering, and trading teams to ensure seamless market integration.
16. Provide insights on project design and financial models aligned with market opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related certifications in energy trading.
2. At least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on market access, regulation, or business development.
3. Proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage stakeholder relationships.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proactive skills.
5. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
6. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
