Market Access Alliance Director OBU

Purpose of the role:

The Market Access Alliance Director leads Value and Access and Pricing strategy and develops the value proposition for Daiichi Sankyo’s Oncology Alliance DS-AZ products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Value and Access Strategy:
    • Lead the Value, Access, and Pricing strategy through the Alliance DS AZ agreement.
    • Develop the value propositions aligned with brand strategy and tailored to stakeholder needs.
    • Collaborate with HEOR & Pricing Managers on P&R processes and evaluations, anticipating strategies at all levels (national, regional, account).
    • Coordinate with Commercial, Medical, BI, Finance, Communication, and Regulatory departments to align brand strategy, positioning, and forecast.
    • Support the Market Access Director in developing access and pricing strategies for Oncology Daiichi Sankyo’s Alliance products.
  • Negotiation:
    • Lead negotiations for Oncology Daiichi Sankyo’s Alliance products within the Alliance framework.
    • Work closely with the Director of Market Access Oncology during negotiations with health authorities.
  • Stakeholder Value Proposition:
    • Participate actively in the Alliance Executive Committee, leading market access and pricing strategies.
    • Be a member of the Oncology Leadership team.
    • Deepen understanding of healthcare environment trends and communicate insights to relevant teams.
    • Identify strategic actions with access stakeholders to accelerate product access.
    • Anticipate opportunities and risks in the access environment for the products.
    • Ensure execution of strategic and tactical plans for value, access, and pricing, leading relevant teams.
  • Regional Market Access Coordination:
    • Coordinate market access strategies with regional managers.
    • Maintain engagement with payers through field visits.
    • Provide aligned materials, strategies, and tactics to field teams.
    • Stay updated on brand strategies impacting market access.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal and Spanish regulatory procedures for clinical research, medical activities, and communication.

Professional Experience & Education:

University degree; MBA preferred; 2-3 years in similar roles; expertise in Oncology; experience in complex negotiations.

Personal Skills:

  • Experience with payers, HTA bodies, or within pharma; ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish healthcare system, market mechanics, policies, and funding pathways.
  • Understanding reimbursement and market access processes.
  • Knowledge of pharmacoeconomics and HTA requirements.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Skills in data generation, epidemiological studies, market analysis, and strategic positioning.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and customer-focus skills.
