Formación

  • Experiencia de 2+ años en análisis de datos de salud.
  • Licenciatura en administración de empresas o campo relacionado.

Descripción del trabajo This position performs analytical and reporting activities to support the business function of the Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS). This position is responsible for generating and preparing reports, performing analysis, tracking and submitting data, and related activities in a timely and accurate manner.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Identifies, analyzes, and gathers business requirements and develops technical specifications.

Prepares and distributes weekly, monthly and ad-hoc business object reports in accordance with established guidelines and procedures or as requested.

Assists department staff by performing project-related work, as needed or requested.

Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business and user needs and documents findings and recommends changes to business processes to increase system effectiveness for end users.

Validates the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.

Converts data into numerous formats using advanced statistical models including statistical process control charts, histograms, pareto charts, and many more.

Pulls, isolates and manipulates data to identify root causes of a performance issue. Develops statistical models to measure the success of performance improvement actions.

Provides consultation to executive, service line, and program leadership.

Identifies metrics performing below benchmarked standards or falling below the upper or lower control limits of statistically controlled models.

Develops statistical, graphical, and narrative reports, and communicates these studies to SNHS Board of Directors, executive leadership, directors, supervisors and other staff.

Aligns identified metrics to known organizational priorities such as SNHS strategic or operational plan.

Develops written and verbal teaching materials.

Attends all mandatory staff meetings and in-services.

Adheres to policies and procedures of the department, Seneca Nation, and SNHS.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :

Must possess strong research and data-gathering abilities with the ability to interpret data in order to develop and implement policies, procedures or solutions within a healthcare setting.

Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff from Executive to front line personnel.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Experience in the information technology areas, such as personal software packages, generating reports and presenting information in a written or spreadsheet format.

Ability to follow verbal directions and instruction to perform work.

Ability to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management or related field. Two or more years experience in health care data analysis. In lieu of education, four or more years of verifiable experience in health care data analysis will be considered.

Equivalent proven work experience and technical training and some college will be considered.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Experience in a large hospital, academic medical center, outpatient health care setting, or Indian Health Service (IHS) / tribal health.
