We are hiring a Senior Android Developer for SmartTV to join our team!

Location: Anywhere in Spain! Enjoy the flexibility of remote work!

As an Android Smart TV Developer, you will play a key role in developing, customizing, and maintaining applications and operating systems for Smart TV platforms. This position requires experience in Smart TV development environments, multimedia technologies, and a deep understanding of user interfaces tailored to Smart TV devices, with the goal of delivering exceptional experiences across platforms.

Your key tasks will be:

1. Work with our Agile TV Product team to bring recognized products and services to market, building the best TV experience.
2. Participate in developing new products and evolving existing ones, contributing to architectural decisions (e.g., New Generation TV Platform).
3. Design and implement new features to support backend modules and platform functionality and releases.
4. Deliver analysis and development for high-performance, reliable, secure, and scalable applications.
5. Mentor other team members.

You must have:

1. 4+ years of experience in Android development.
2. Expertise in best practices (SOLID and Clean Code), including optimization, documentation, and testing.
3. Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, different Android versions, and handling various screen sizes.
4. Fluency in Kotlin.
5. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
6. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
7. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
8. Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
9. Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
10. Experience with software repositories and GIT version control.
11. Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.).
12. Proficiency in Spanish (C1/C2) and English (B2) or equivalent.
13. Currently residing in Spain with a valid work permit.

It would be great if you have:

1. Higher Education in Computer Science or a bachelor’s degree in the same field.
2. Experience with TDD.
3. Experience in Android TV development.
4. Familiarity with sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
