We are hiring a Senior Android Developer for SmartTV to join our team!

Location: Anywhere in Spain! Enjoy the flexibility of remote work!

Role Overview: As an Android Smart TV Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining applications and operating systems for Smart TV platforms. The role requires experience in Smart TV development environments, multimedia technologies, and user interface design tailored for Smart TV devices, aiming to deliver exceptional experiences across various platforms.

Your key tasks will include:

1. Contributing to our Agile TV Product team to bring recognized products and services to market, enhancing the TV experience.
2. Participating in the development of new products and the evolution of existing ones, including architectural decisions like the New Generation TV Platform.
3. Designing and implementing new features to support backend modules and platform functionalities.
4. Ensuring high performance, reliability, security, and scalability of applications through analysis and development.
5. Mentoring team members.

Must-have qualifications:

1. 4+ years of experience in Android development.
2. Proficiency in software development best practices, including SOLID and Clean Code principles.
3. Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, various Android versions, and handling different screen sizes.
4. Fluency in Kotlin.
5. Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
6. Expertise in Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
7. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance optimization.
8. Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
9. Understanding of Google’s Android design guidelines.
10. Experience with version control systems like GIT.
11. Experience working with agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.
12. Proficiency in Spanish (C1/C2) and English (B2) or equivalent.
13. Residing in Spain with a valid work permit.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Higher Education or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
2. Experience with TDD.
3. Experience specifically with Android TV development.
4. Knowledge of sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
