Senior Software Developer (IC3) – Oracle Life Sciences

Location : Spain (remote)

We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer with expertise in distributed systems and cloud services to join Oracle Health / Life Sciences. The team develops services critical to Oracle Health's success, supporting market viability assessments for new treatments, bringing treatments to market, and ensuring long-term wellness and safety for patients worldwide.

As a Senior Development Engineer, you will design, build, and operate applications, components, and services involving big data technologies, distributed computing, and storage replication to serve life science clients and improve patient care. You will work on broad and deep software systems engineering challenges, owning the development of new features from concept to deployment. Your work will impact millions of patients and contribute to better health outcomes globally.

Responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and Central teams) to architect and design multiple products
• Document design specifications
• Implement high-quality code and review peers' code
• Develop test automation for your code
• Participate in deploying new code to production
• Operate and maintain the services you develop

Qualifications :

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years experience in designing and implementing complex software systems
• Proficiency with Java or C++
• Knowledge of data structures and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful Web Services or cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with large data systems such as Data Lakes and Relational Databases at scale
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with scalable systems is a plus
• Healthcare systems or medical data experience is a plus
