Job Description: PreSales Engineer

As a PreSales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities within the Digital services sector and supporting assigned German customers. Your daily tasks will include:

  1. Writing and constructing offers for final customers.
  2. Providing technical and commercial support to the sales team throughout the sales lifecycle.
  3. Managing Digital Services opportunities from start to finish.
  4. Designing technical solutions and building comprehensive business cases.
  5. Developing partner relationships to enhance offerings and value propositions.
  6. Understanding customer needs and providing expert advice on IT solution design.
  7. Managing client demands and expectations from a technical perspective.
  8. Supporting sales teams with technical insights and participating in solution definition.
  9. Sharing technical knowledge with the commercial support team through training.
  10. Collaborating with global teams (Presales, Procurement, Operations, Finances) to meet client demands.
  11. Working with marketing and product teams to prepare training sessions for sales and engineering teams.
  12. Keeping up-to-date with digital technologies and industry trends.
  13. Achieving sales targets, KPIs, and financial metrics related to revenue and profitability.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We believe the ideal candidate will have:

  • A BS/CS degree; MBA or MSc and relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISACA CISA, CISSP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, etc.) are preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Sales Consultant in the digital industry, including presales and operations. Experience with large accounts (e.g., IBEX35, CAC40, DAX) is desirable.
  • Experience testing new products and managing global solutions for multinational companies.
  • Deep knowledge of our organization and business processes, especially in a startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of the digital industry, market, and ecosystems, with a proven track record in business development.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent technical and communication skills, capable of effective negotiation and influence.
  • Ability to balance business risks with customer requirements and company goals.
  • Problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written skills, especially in bid writing and negotiation.
Languages
  • Fluent English is mandatory; German and Spanish are desirable.
