Formación

• Se requiere educación en Ingeniería o Grado en Informática o Telecomunicaciones.
• Experiencia en desarrollo de software y Linux OS.
• Conocimientos en tecnologías 5G y soluciones de código abierto.

Researcher in open source 5G software solutions (Open5Gs and OpenAirInterface)

We are looking for a person to join any of our offices (Donostia - San Sebastián or Bilbao), with knowledge in open source solutions for fifth generation (5G) mobile communications. Vicomtech is an applied research technology centre, dynamic, innovative, and leading in the field of 5G and 6G communications with projects such as 6GDifferent, 6G-XR, or 5GMETA.

The selected person will join a team of more than 20 people with multidisciplinary knowledge within the Digital Media & Communications department. Research staff at Vicomtech have the freedom to conduct research and seek creative solutions to scientific-technological challenges. We are looking for a person with a proactive attitude. We value candidates :

• Education: Engineering or Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications. A Master's degree or a PhD in telecommunications or computer science is an advantage.
• Experience in software development, Linux OS, and code development tools (GIT). Knowledge of C++ and Python is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of 5G technologies and networks, familiarity with open source solutions such as OpenAirInterface and Open5Gs. Knowledge of commercial solutions (e.g., Amarisoft) and APIs for network monitoring and management (NWDAF, NEF) is also a plus.
• Languages: Spanish and English.
