The Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) is a site of the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (HZI) in Braunschweig. We currently have around 280 employees of international origin working and researching here. The HIPS is the first publicly funded, non-university research institution in Germany that is explicitly dedicated to pharmaceutical research. Closely linked to Saarland University, the institute cooperates with international and national research institutions and industrial companies.
In your role as a computer scientist at the Saarbrücken site, you will work at the interface between the IT infrastructure, bioinformatics and the scientific laboratory and measurement systems of the working groups, integrated into the structures of the HZI's computer center.
As the contact person for the integration of new and existing equipment into our state-of-the-art infrastructure, you will work independently and in constant coordination with our scientific working groups. As an IT employee, you will also support the onboarding of new employees at the Saarbrücken site.
