Who are we? IPS is an international company with in-house Engineering and specialized services across Project Management for industries, Automation, and Architecture. We have EPCM expertise and operate in more than 10 countries worldwide, fostering an entrepreneurial and team-building mindset.

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our office in Barcelona, Spain.

We seek an engineer with experience in project management, either in a client or consulting firm, to actively participate in a wide range of projects, from small improvements to large industrial constructions. The management of each project can include multiple phases and specializations:

1. Strategic Consulting: project master planning, conceptual engineering.
2. Project Feasibility: process description, plant layout, overall schedule, procurement strategy, financial planning.
3. Project Preparation Phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing, and procurement.
4. Project Realization Phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning, operational management.

The Project Manager Engineer's role is to deliver high-quality services within the agreed budget and schedule.

What is the role about?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has led and managed industrial projects from planning to final delivery.

• Coordinate and supervise technical teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Develop schedules, define milestones, and track progress.
• Manage and optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
• Present progress reports and propose improvements.
• Experience in permitting and procurement is advantageous.
• Knowledge of civil works, building, and process utilities is a plus.

Requirements

Who are you?

• Education: Industrial Engineer with specialization in Industrial Organization, Chemicals, Bio-Chemicals, Mechanical, or similar fields.
• Experience: 3-6 years in industrial projects; experience in Food & Beverages or Biotech is a plus.
• Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English; French or German is advantageous.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD.
• Driver's license: B.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, time management, team management, effective stakeholder communication.

Location: Barcelona, with travel availability as needed.
