Our Data Science team enables data-driven decision-making through complex data analysis. As a key team member, you will enhance our data product landscape by experimenting with, deploying, and testing forecast models to propel our business forward.

Senior Data Scientist - Forecasting (m / f / d)

Location : remote, Germany; remote, Spain

Your responsibilities

1. Lead development of forecasting models, focusing on demand forecasting, including understanding business needs, data analysis, solution development, and deployment.
2. Develop, validate, and deploy time series forecasting models in Python (e.g., LSTM, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, CatBoost, LightGBM, ARIMA) to improve forecast accuracy.
3. Conduct complex data analysis to derive insights and propose actionable solutions to stakeholders.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers, and Business Stakeholders.
5. Continuously improve forecasting processes, tools, and methodologies through observation, feedback, and proactive suggestions.
6. Bring several years of professional experience in end-to-end Data Science project development, with a focus on demand forecasting within eCommerce.
7. Hold a Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
8. Proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong skills in data modeling, structures, and visualization.
9. Familiarity with software development tools (Git, Docker) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
10. Possess a proactive, problem-solving, and analytical mindset with excellent communication skills in English.
