Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including automation.

Job Purpose:

The Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of Automation and Controls systems in a dynamic environment requiring minimal downtime of the machinery.

Shift Information: 3:00pm - 11:00pm; Monday - Friday.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Partner with Automation Professional to troubleshoot automation issues.
  • Basic skills in using Allen Bradley PLC's RSLogix 5000, 500, 5, RSlinx, RSNetworx, and RSLinx.
  • Experience with Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Sercos, and Serial communication protocols.
  • Experience with Wonderware and Factory Talk View Studio HMIs.
  • Proficient in Windows PC use & MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret IEC standard electrical drawings.
  • Experience with installation & commissioning of low voltage (480VAC) AC & DC drives.
  • Experience with temperature controllers & PID loops.
  • Knowledge of electric theory and electrical calculations.
  • Proficient in reading electrical drawings, identifying components and wiring, including PI & D diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using electrical instruments and circuit knowledge, both 3-phase electrical systems & low voltage power systems.
  • Ability to install, wire, and maintain relays, photo-eyes, switches, motors, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, and safety circuits.
  • Ability to install and maintain metal detectors, checkweighers, and coding equipment.
  • Identify improvements; program minor modifications in PLC logic and HMIs; manage program uploads/downloads.
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement and OEE efforts.
  • Assist with safety work orders and support maintenance team during shifts.
  • Assist in training maintenance technicians on PLC troubleshooting tools.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs issues throughout the plant.
  • Complete projects and work orders as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Processing and Packaging teams to ensure product flow and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks and assist other technicians.
  • Lead or assist in maintenance procedures with contractors/vendors.
  • Maintain effective communication and teamwork within the plant.
  • Support day and night shifts as needed.
Additional Information:
  • AA degree in maintenance or equivalent trade school certificate preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical), including automation and controls systems such as Allen Bradley PLCs, Wonderware, Rockwell HMIs, Cognex vision systems, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, VFDs, and motion controls. Basic MS Office knowledge is required.
